Do you ever struggle to stay focused during your prayer time?

  • You want to pray, but sometimes you feel distracted or aren’t sure what to pray about.

  • A friend shares a struggle with you that you tell her you’ll keep her in prayer, and you have the best intentions, but you go about your day and soon forget.

  • You like the idea of a prayer binder but you can’t seem to find the time or feel you lack the creativity* to make one.

  • You have a prayer binder but you’d like something more portable, to access on the go.

  • You don’t want to feel guilty about struggling with prayer. You know it matters, but sometimes it feels mundane and more of a duty than something you look forward to.

  • Something that helps you be more focused and deliberate in your prayer time might be just what you need.

If any of these statements resonate with you, or if you’re just curious, I’m so glad you’ve found this page!

I made my first prayer binder years ago, and then created an updated one after watching this video from The Reset Girl (and lots of inspiration from Pinterest) in 2018. I loved making it personal and found it to be really helpful to guide my prayer time.

A few months later, I went on a couple of trips and wanted to take my prayer binder with me, but needed something much less bulky for my carry-on, so I created a digital version.

Almost everything used in creating and decorating both the physical binder and the digital prayer journal is from Illustrated Faith and The Reset Girl (her new website is The First Love Club). These are not affiliate links, although I’m working on it.

After several years of use (and as many tweaks), I decided to offer my digital prayer journal as a freebie, in hopes that it might help others with easily distracted minds like mine.

Top and side tabs link to sections.

The tabs on top spell out the acronym PRAY. Each section starts with a page that gives a definition, suggestions for using that section, and a few Bible verses to get you started. These pages are followed by one each: dot grid, lined, loose leaf lined, square grid, and blank pages. You can duplicate, rearrange, and/or remove pages as needed.

Choose your tabs.

You will have access to both daily and numbered tab styles, so you can choose the one that works for you, or try them both to see which you like best. These are great to keep a visual (by adding photos and/or graphics) or a list of people and things you want to pray for.

Decorate with stickers

Along with your Wholehearted Digital Prayer Journal, you’ll receive a file folder full of stickers. There are word stickers (like the “You are worthy” and “grateful” text pictured, as well as solid and patterned shapes. The sticker colors coordinate perfectly with the colors of the prayer journals. You can also add any digital or printable stickers you already have (I’ll show you how).

Two color palettes to choose from.

The Wholehearted Digital Prayer Journal features a light coral linen cover. For the inside, you can choose the color palette you like best. These are the colors of the tabs and dividers, as well as the digital stickers that are included.
